Rencently all of my friends begin to love The Count of Monte Cristo. And after our reading, most of them think at the end what Edmond Dantes did is something of cruel...But I don't think so..I always remember what he suffered at the beginning. All his loved were deprived....Do you agree with me???

No no, the Count wasn't cruel.
Vengeance is sweet and I fully support his actions. He is my idol lol.

As I finished reading the first two chapter of that book, I felt sympathy for Edmond Dantes. I know taking vengeance is wrong but if I were in his position I wouldnt be able to promise to be goody goody.
His whole life was ruined because he was betrayed and he lost everything, surely anyone would be angered by that. I guess what I'm trying to say is that his feelings were justifiable because he was wronged but the act of taking vengeance itself will also take its toll later on. Vengeance doesn't take back what was lost, you may get even but it won't be that sweet.
