How long do you wait for responses??

Hello friends, well I've been since some 6 days and I've also started a few discussions. But I would like to know from you people that how much do you wait for the responses of the discussions you've started?
Do you go back to a two day old discussion to chek-in the latest entry or are you interested in the present discussion only??
What do you do in order to get the maximum number of responses?
Do share all that!!

I always read my responses in my discussions and reply to them, I feel that if people are going to take the time to read mine and respond to it, that I can also make an effort by reading and replying to them. I don't do anything to try and get people to respond to mine because not everyone will be interested in what I have said. I think if you want a lot of people to respond, you just have to find a topic that a lot of people will be interested in.
