Do Indian batsmen think that the stumps are 5 feet tall

Whether it is Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly or any other batsman, they invariably fend the rising delivery. They save the wicketkeeper's burden of of collecting the wayward delivery.
This makes me suspect that all Indians play with stumps that are at least 5 feet tall.
The Aussies and the Proteas were whacking the rising delivery, in their latest world cup match. How come Greg Chapell did not tell the Indians that you can whack the rising delivery.
