Stenosis is narrowing of the canal. I have cervical stenosis which means it is in my neck. Lumbar is way down just above the hips.
Because yours is further down, you are in better shape because the affects will probably be limited to your legs and a little pain in the small of your back, if I am remembering correctly. The closer the stenosis is to the head, the more functions are affected. In my case, things from the neck down, which includes everything in the chest and upper back, are affected.
What has your doctor suggested? What are your symptoms?
