Ten years is a long time. When the ICC Champions Trophy begins next month, it will be cricket's first real 'world' meet in India since the 1996 World Cup. In a country crazy over the game, that wait itself will have set the tone for the month-long 'festival'.
No country can quite match the passion that the game generates in India, and this message will be reiterated again and again as the bandwagon shuttles between the four venues.
Since India have got home advantage, they can defenitely win the Champions Trophy if the players perform to their potential consistently with fighting spirit and keeping national pride above personal interests.
