There are many things coming through on my mind on how to discipline my son. Should I spank him, talk to him. Lately, I have observed that he becomes stubborn and hardheaded. He doesn't listen to me. The problem is his grandfather everytime that I'm scolding my son he tries to defend him even if my son did something wrong. What shall I do?

then you should not discipline our son, do it to your father.. eheheh.. joking aside, it really is hard to discipline children. nobody knows when is it enough to spank or to talk to them.. but i think it is also better for the child to learn the lesson himself... and spank your father.. hehehhe

You need an arbitrator above anything else who will come in the way of you, your son and his grandfather to pinpoint who is correct...
Grandy's are their to spoil the sons/daughters for years, but, ultimately it does not matter much because boys/girls usually pick up quickly who is correct.
Another way to mould your kids is by setting example yourself. Instead of telling your son to read, you start reading before him in the evening. A reasonable application of this method helps a lot to mould their mindset.
