They say that children who went to school at a very early age,(age 3) tend to get bored and tired of attending school when they enter college. Is this true?

Boredome steps depending on the type of education the children had undergone. I had admitted my child in a playschool at the age of 2-1/2. It was a montessori system of education and she enjoyed going to school every day.At the age of 4 she had to go a regular school, in which the mode of education was diff from the montessori system. The schools should encourage childern to participate in various activities like sports, culturals, social service, etc. This would definetly help the child to do away with boredom

I agree with you, Jesun. Children must be developed wholesomely. Love for sports must be developed in them aside from the academics.

When I was young, kids didn't start school until they were 5. I was tired of school by 8th grade and was more than burnt out by the time I finished High School. However, my brother started at age 4 and didn't feel burnt out at all. Since every kid is different, I don't think you can make a blanket statement of starting kids at age X increases the chance of burn out.

It depends upon the parents/guardians. If they push their kids too much so as to make sure that they do good in school by earning medals and recognitions, that will make them lose interest in school. But, if the parents/ guardians make them each day in school a fun day of learning, their gusto and love for school will be developed. So, unto all the parents out there I say, do not scold the child if he doesn't earn honors and awards. Be happy that they are learning and doing fine.

My three year old is in a gifted preschool, montessori proggram and she loves it. I think if the goal is to really teach through play and friendship, the child will love it. Now of course, some children are not as ready as other to go into a school setting with other children. If they're not mature enough or ready to follow the routine of teachers and respecting other's feelings, then you have a problem. If these kids are bored by college, it speaks more to the fact that they haven't found their passion in life, whatever that may be.
