How would you know if someone really loves you?

We often hear people say "I love you" but don't mean it. The result? We tend to believe them and get hurt in return. How would you know if they really mean it when they say "I love you?" Please share your experiences on how you proved that someone really loves you. Thanks! =)

I LOVE YOU , has become a common phrase now a days.....
The one who means it , just says it once......
When she/He Knows that, when He/She will say it to you.... you will say the samething back with meaning in it and give a hug.... :)
