This is something we could share.. Are you the type which could be happy as long as you have all the money and all things that money could buy? Even if you are alone but got all those things, is it really enough for you? Or you are the type that could be happy without those things as long as you are enjoying your life? For a start, I'm happy with the people that really cared for me.. I know they are there always willing to help me out.. Things I think are just extras that could make us much more happier.. Even the littlest thing that people do can really mean a lot and put a smile on me..

No, I would not consider myself to be materialistic. However I think at certain points in everyones life we just lose focus and turn to other things for possile temporary happiness. It wouldn't matter if you were the richest man in the world like Bill Gates, having all the money and all the best money can buy could never bring you joy and happiness. You'll always be wanting something more because you'll still have an emptiness inside of you. Money is essential for survival, however it is very important to remember that it's not the more important thing in life. I believe you should focus on things such as family and friends, also your personal goals for you life. Those are the things that really mean alot.

Well said, we need money as part of our lives to survive. I've never seen someone here who said that he/she is already contented with what his/her life as of the moment. There are times as you said that we tend to lose focus, that might depend on how we look at things as well as the situation that we are facing.. thanks..

I can be happy as long as I have my family. It helps if the bills can be paid and we can afford groceries. But I dont need all of the extras. They are nice, yes, and help when I am bored. But Sometimes, I think simplest is best.

It just can't be avoided for money to be a necessity to us, like you've mentioned about the bills and groceries.. I quote what you said "But Sometimes, I think simplest is best." I like the thought of that, people may think it's enough to make us happy because of the things they do and not just for the things they give us.. :) Thanks

People mean more to me then materialistic things do. I mean items you can replace family and friends once they are gone that is it.

I'm definately not a materialistic person. To prove that, my bedroom is remnants of my daughter's bunk bed desk, and a bookshelf and dresser from another daughter's room. What matters to me is that my 2 daughters are happy and healthy. I don't care what we have in the way of materialistic things. I'm like you, I'm happy for the people I care for, and who care for me. Life is all about that, and not anything I've bought. :)

I guess there are some of us that would feel happy as long as we see the happy we love happy, I mean it's enough to complete our day seeing them feel that way. Things may just be broken, it's like we buy things to satisfy us temporarily as long as we've not become that attached to it but that's all.. thanks for an honest response.. :)

I do love money, it just makes things easier, but I think I would be happy either way! I have had lots of money and I have been poor. It doesn't change your state of mind.

I don't need all the money in the world as I am rich anyway because I have loving and caring Friends and that is all that Matters I have 2 lovely grown up Children who do me proud and after a long wait I now have a lovely Man that loves me and cares for me. Yes I am sick and disabled but I am being loved for I am not what I am and that makes me very rich
