From CNN... Girl finds missing dogs severed head in gift box...

Is this article not insane? The people of this world are truly terrifying. Who would do such a thing? I hope they catch this inhumane individual and that he ROTS.
"St Paul, Minnesota(AP). A 17 year old girl who spent weeks searching for her missing dog unwrapped a box left at her house and found the pets severed head inside.
This was extremely heinous said Dale Bartlett the Humane Society's deputy for animal cruelty cases. I deal with 100's and 100's of cases yearly and when I read this one it took my breath away.
After Crystal's 4 year old Australian Shepard went missing a month ago she spent weeks going door to door and posting signs looking for her missing best friend.
A gift wrapped box left at Crystal's house said "Congratulations Crystal. This side up. Batteries included."
Crystal opened the box and found her dogs head insdie along with Valentines candy.
Authorities say this is an isolated case and the suspect likely knew the family though a motive is unclear.
Crystal had a new australian shep puppy that she hopes will also become her best friend."
THIS STORY IS HARD TO BELIEVE. HOW CAN HUMANS BE SO CRUEL? UGH. STORIES LIKE THIS ARE REPULSIVE.
Have you ever heard anything like this? What would you have done? I'm not forgiving so I would hunt down whoever did this. As they said apparently it was someone that knew her name.

I think tis was some kind of sick 'warning' by someone the family knew. I'm thinking it was inspired by Godfather 1 in which the head of a horse was cut off to warn the victim they meant business. Of course this had to with the mob but I sure can imagine that someone could do this to another person.
I hope that sick person will be found. What a horrible shock for that girl.

I read another news story that told of a 16 or 17 year old girl receiving the head of her lost cat. I wonder if these are connected, or possibly the same story mis-told. It could even be an urban legend.
I do know that even the thought of it is sick. I was seeing a boy and when we broke up he hung my cat right on my porch. He was a sicko. About 2 yrs later he killed a man. It is a sign of a twisted mind when someone does something like this to a pet, it will lead to worse things.

this is awfull its almost as bad as the guy who beat up the 100 yr old woman for $30 one wonders what is happening to the world that folks can stoop to such acts of cruelty!I dont even think that ones who do such acts can even be looked on as human!
