Who is the best female American Idol?

I think I would have to say Carrie Underwood is the most successful so far. She has set records with her songs and awards. They are all good singers, but I think she is the best.

In my opinion Carrie Underwood is the best American Idol female singer. I love all of her songs on her album and will buy her future albums. I also like Kelly Clarkson and have her albums as well. I have not heard any songs by Fantasia and only one song by Katherine so I can not make a judgement on them yet.

I like carrie underwood the best so far, i don't know if it is because i listen to alot of country music or what but i just do like all the songs she has released so far.

Well all of them have their own unique style of singing and there are certain songs from each that I like, however if I was to choose my favourite, it would probably be Kelly Clarkson - I like her soulful voice!

Definitely Kelly... She's the only one that's gone anywhere!

In terms of AI winners, i would say Fantasia is my favorite. She may not be 'up' there in terms of the selling of her records and stuff but from what i've heard, her latest album garnered good reviews from critics. i also think that fantasia has a lot of soul when she sings. kelly is marketable but i just don't feel her. carrie on the other hand is too manic for me, just like her performances in AI. But if you will include Katharine in the list, definitely i would choose McPhee any day. I just love her lower register. love her performances and you're right, i can't see/hear taylor hicks after winning AI. Her first album was not as i thought it would be cos it's too idol-ish. but still love her.
