A Possible Solution to a Perplexing Problem

I was just reading an article in today's edition of Parade Magazine about common sense ideas that solve some of our everyday problems. For example, the article talks about organ donation. Currently, in the U.S., you can choose to become an organ donor when you register for your driver's license. Only a small percentage of people do this. If we adopt the "Opt-Out" method instead of the current "Opt-In" method we can virtually eliminate the waiting list for people needing organ transplants. People will still have the choice to NOT be an organ donor if that is their wish. But, the "Opt-Out" method would probably double the number of people donating their organs, thus giving thousands more people a second chance at life. According to the article, other countries such as China already use the "Opt-Out" method and have no organ donation waiting lists. I think this is a brilliant idea that America should adopt. What do you think?
