I was looking through the "interests" here on myLot and was amused to find Life, People, Parenting and Religion all listed under "Hobbies that I Enjoy". I would like to think that these "interests" would be more than just hobbies, especially Parenting.
I think Religion should have its own category, and all the various threads about the bible put there, not under Books. There are three subsections dealing with it: bible, the bible, holy bible. There's probably more, specific to different versions, but I haven't looked through EVERYTHING.
There are subsections entitled: cross stitch, cross stitching, and I just noticed cross-stitch (with a hyphen) has popped up recently.The Crafts category also has threads about cross stitch...
These are just a few examples. I'm sure there are others. Instead of deleting posts regarding "milestones" could the powers that be not devote some time to reorganizing categories? (Other moderators on other boards have been known to move posts to more appropriate categories.)

Oh, dear BarBaraPrz you have noticed what a couple of us have seen and personally I grit my teeth since those are definitely not hobbies. I think I like you alot, thanks for bringing this up. Seems like it would be better to broaden the category to include all about cross stich and its different forms, still under cross stitch.
Forget what you have seen at different sites, this place if they do it perverts it. The anonymous moderators here are busy tinkering with our discussions whether the responses are positive as a whole or not. We desparately need communication from Management which , oops, is like what other sites do. We need to grin and bear it if we are to continue here at Mylot. The powers that be must be limited in power.
Good luck with your future here and hope you really earn while you continue to learn here.

I have noticed the same thing too and have to assume it comes in part by the way we update our interests and when we respond to discussions outside out listed interests. They are mainly quick links that allow you to jump into discussions that interest you faster than browsing everything that's just been submitted. I don't really mind adding the mistaken entries as you can sometimes still find interesting discussions faster this way. Once it's added to your interests, you can always use the quick link for "discussions from your interests" and hopefully get a good list to browse thru. :)
If you think cross stitch is bad, you should take a look to see how many include "money" in some form or fashion & the number of categories it's listed in. LOL
