Well to be frank i think rahul dravid needs to be changed as captain. and a more youthful and bold captain needs to come in place of him, i think maybe Yuvraj would be a good replacement. And for the part abt sweeping changes.. i think definitely not! Theres no need for that as there is still alot of talent in this indian team.

I would blame selection process.
Irfan was not and Robin was in.
Also in India we still choose players by their records instead performance.

i am shocked as million of million indians. there must be change such as captain and coach should be replaced with immediate effect. secondly no need to continue sachin. his time is over although he is legendary player of indian cricket team in the past. thanks.

Well i think nobody individually is to blame for the whole...because in any game the whole team is responsible for any success or failure....don't you think that????
anyhow few senoir player's like sachin, dravid .....should perform exraordinary in any circumstances....this will boost up the whole team...

I entirely blame indian cricket fans, Media and whoever associated with cricket for this debacle. Lot of people may indicate the coach, captain and so on for it. But I think that the public and the media creates so much of hype, like, the team is a good one and it will win the world cup etc.. etc., that these effect the team spirit a lot. One might think that it will boost their spirit, but it works negetively. The team suffers from over confidence. It becomes laid back and starts thinking other teams like Bangladesh as a easy opponent. This is what has happened in this WC. Mr ANil Kumble, who was present in the playing squad, has confirmed this. This is the prime reason and later comes the accountibility factor of the Coach, Captain and players.
I think, after this embarrasing situation, people in the BCCI should not take hasty decisions, to make sweeping changes, but let the team be the same. The coach may be changed, because, he seems to be a mismatch in Indian environment, unlike Jhon Wright, Bob Woolmer or Jhon Moody. Also the modelling of the players of the Indian team should be restricted, in the same way, Doctors employed in Govt. hospitals are not allowed to practice privately.

my god i must have replied to this question a million times and more comes and i keep writing well i am a dir hard indian cricket fan and i just cannot stop writing about the indian Debacle and i belive that the main culprit for the Indian loss is MR Greg Chappell and i got many reasons to back it. He was the one who brought dis-unity in the indian cricket team when he tried to jeopardise Gangulys future to increase his weightage in the team he screwed carrers of kaif, pathan, sehwag, yuvi, and dhoni by asking kaif and yuvraj to become feilding coaches they concentrated so much on others they forgot them selves and pathan and shewag were asked to become all rounders they got so involved they forgot their prime skills of batting and bowling and i can go on and on but yes greg chappell has to GO and SACK him do not accept his resignation and would suggest to give him that he is FIRED letter

I would blame the cricketers and the captain. They lack the 'killer instinct'. Mentally they were not prepared for it. It looked as if they went ther to lose. We have good players in our team but they all played below they potential. Our players need the 'killer instinct', 'motivation' and 'complete concentation'. They need a vey good psychiatrist.

too much of media hype, too much of acting lead to the downfall. acting should be completely stopped and practice should be given priority.

Hmmm..we should first of all put the blame to the media. then ourselfs(fans) for putting the players at great heights when they play at peak and put them down to the drainage when they dont perform.. the players should concentrate on their career instead of trying to pose in front of the camera..(i think now they have got enough time to act in a movie too name LAGOON!) None of them should be dropped..instead they should be paid only for their runs or wickets.

As per our great indian team it is was bad batting performance, bad bowling performance and bad fielding performance by the Bermuda team in the most crucial match with Bangladesh.

indian team is out from world cup. this is defeat of team but most responsible are captain rahul dravid and coach chappel. rahul dravid is not having good leadership quality. chappel dint stop his experiment at the last match, even he was confused that who will start inning.most of the senior players should be dropped along with coach.
thanks

The whole team should be blamed for such a bad performance. No single player can be blamed. The senior players should not be dropped. As we cannot get any Sachin or dravid or ganguly in future. The captain should not be changed. The coach should be changed. In place Greg Chappel Sandip Patil should appointed as the coach. He was the coach of kenya during 2003 world cup and has made Kenya to Semi final.
