Havin fun at the Carnival - Today we went to the carnival and had a very nice experience. My sister and I went on a little train ride, and she had a blast!

Today was a nice day, and we had the pleasure to take a trip to the local carnival. My three year old sister had a blast, and it was a very nice experience. Do you like to do spur of the moment things, such as going to the carnival or fair? Do you feel that the rides are safe from all the traveling fairs and carnivals do?

it is really fun going to carnivals but it is also tiring. we just thought of going somewhere we don't usually go so we went to the carnival last saturday. i am with my husband and his family. we were 7, 6 adults with 1 kid. we have fun with the rides and really enjoyed the afternoon. i think the rides are safe becuase it was inspected by the government and the carnival has been there for ages and there were no reports of any accidents that happened related with the rides. the more you think of the accidents, the less you'll enjoy the place.

I agree that if you don't think about it you won't be parnoid about getting hurt. Thanks for your response, have fun with your future carnival experiences :)

We took our boys ages, 16 and 2 at the time to the carnival last year. There were only two rides that I let my 2 year old go on and my 16 year old didn't feel like riding so I didn't have to worry about the ones he might have went on. I don't think that all of the rides are safe but some are. The lil man didn't like the merry go round with the horses very much but he did enjoy the little cars that went around on a track. I don't think the up and down and round and round agreed with him LOL. I was with him and holding him by the waist but the pictures my husband took of us show a lil boy with a very worried, confused look on his face. All the same he enjoyed the music, lights and games that we played. I think my eldest son enjoyed watching his lil brother's reactions to all these new things more than anything else at the carnival LOL

Yeah I am 16 too and it seems as though my entertainment was watching my 3 year old sister have fun. I enjoy the games at carnivals the most, but at the fair most all amusment parks its all about the rides :)

I am so pleased you had a nice day , a day of memories you will always remember , I love to be spontaneous , I hate to have everything planned out for me , I used to love going to the fair but lately I have heard of so many accidents ( I live in Scotland ) that it has put me off going , I am too old for the rides now but I used to love to watch the expressions on my children and grandchildren s faces , nice memories to last forever xx

I'm not a fan of amusement park rides. Not only do they scare the crap out of me, lol, I don't think a 15 second thrill is worth the possible dangers to your heart or with equipiment failure of the ride. I'm sure the rides that a three year old would be on would be relatively safe though.

I love doing spur of the moment things. One time my husband and I were living in Kentucky and since I am from here we decided to go for a ride. You guessed it. We ended up in St. Louis my hometown. We had just our bathing suits on and no extra cloths and when I walked into my sisters house she asked us where our suitcases were. When we told her we had none she told us we were crazy. We left to go back to Kentucky later on that afternoon. I am a big bum by heart so it didn't bother me at all to take a ride of that length.

Also the carnavel rides don't bother me at all. I figure the people keep the rides in good shape. They could be in trouble if they didn't keep them in good shape and someone got hurt.
