I went to the grocery store and came to a sad realization today. I have gotten in a major rut as far as cooking goes. I love to cook and come up with new and exciting dishes, but lately I have been making the same handful of things every week. I am looking for some new ideas. I need to spice up dinnertime a bit.

I agree. I love pasta and grilled chicken too. Unfortunately that is one of the menus that seems to keep popping up in my little "rut"

My husband and I just love Salmon. He grills it and it is so good. We usually make some rice with mushrooms and a salad and we have a great meal.

Salmon seems to be a big favorite. I havent done much with salmon, but I am willing to give it a try. And rice with mushrooms sounds good too. I am a big mushroom fan.

Oh man I love to cook, although I don't have alot of time during the week to get real creative in the kitchen on worknights. I have some really good recipes for a homemade spaghetti, meatloaf, creamy chicken enchiladas, lasagne (easy-you don't have to cook the noodles first!), hot sandwiches....let me know exactly what you are looking for and about how much time you would like to spend in the kitchen, and I will see what I can come up with for ya!

I am not sure if this is available to you in the U.S. (probably is). I receive "What's Cooking", a monthly Kraft magazine with great recipes in it. A lot of them are one pan dishes, or slow cooker recipes. One my family loves is ground beef made with KD, salsa and canned corn and topped with shredded Tex Mex Cheese. If you want specific directions, let me know either in comment or PM. Or perhaps you can find it (and many other recipes) on the Kraft website. Another website I use for recipes is www.allrecipes.com. The recipes are rated by the members on a scale from 1 to 5 stars so you know if what you are making is good or not.

That does actually sound like a good recipe. I think that is something the hubby would eat too. I had forgotten allrecipes. That is a place where I have gotten lost browsing many a time. Another one you might like is recipezaar.com. They are similar to allrecipes. Thank you for reminding me about that.

OK,I can give you a good recipe....NOT!Because it's not really a recipe......once a week I take all the leftovers from my fridge and combine them with some hamburger into one large pot.......I do this in the oven.....I've had everything from leftover beans, potatoes, veggies and cheese......cook it all together, adding one ingredient to the next, once the meat is cooked......it's great,I couldn't believe my kids not only liked it but noe they ask for it

Our probably all time favorites are Spagghetti Bolognase and garlic bread, Roast dinner either chicken or beef and veges and gravy, or Taco's or steak and salad
