after reading this did you shy away when people sneezed?

i loved the stand in fact it is my all time favorite. i remember after reading it though everytime someone coughed, sneezed etc around me i kind of moved away from them. lol i know this sounds funny but think about it the flu gets worse every year. the gov does test stuff and does do chemical warfare etc. i read the book during flu season too. talk about ducking away from lots of people. did anyoen else out there kind of think about it alittle more or anything?

Oh yeah, I definitely did. I also did the same thing after watching the movie Outbreak.

I am obsessed with anything Stephen King. When I re-read the stand (read it the first time MANY years before)about a chapter into it I got a horrible cold. I went around saying OH MY GOD! IT'S CAPTAIN TRIPPS! People thought I was nuts...I thought it could very well be the end of the world!
