Congratulations on getting published. It must feel magical. Is getting published on AssociatedContent as hard as it looks? They don't take short stories or prose, and I can't write poetry, so I guess for me it is.

Well, it doesn't seem to hard so far. I've submitted two articles and they have accepted them both. One sold for $4.50 and the other for $7. I think you get paid higher if the topic is unique and interesting. I'm not to sure though...I've only been a member for a little over a week now.

Did you find it hard to come up with an idea for Associated Content? I signed up a few days ago but haven't submitted an article yet. I think it's really cool that they published one of your articles. I'll go to the site, check it out and definitely rate it. Congrats.

It's been a little tough. I got the idea for this article because I responded to someone here on myLot. The question was about women making more money than their husbands. My response was rated as the best and the lady who posted the question said it looked like I knew what I was taking about. So I figured...why not right an article on it?
Associated Content has a newsletter you can subscribe to that gives you some ideas of what to write about...I haven't gotten my frist newsletter yet, but I assume that the ideas they give are what they want to hear about and probably pay more.

Congratulations on your first sale to AC. I read and rated your article and found it very interesting. I think AC is about the best place to sell work online.
I have written for AC for a couple of years under the name of Jeanne Gibson, and have published quite a few things on a variety of subjects.
