Through Paypal. I got two different emails from Paypal. thanking me for a reciept from Amazon.com, I know nothing about these transactions, I emailed Paypay and Amazon.com to let them know what was going on. PayPal told me If I want to dispute it email to spoofprool.
Paypal shopping cart someone had order a Sony DCR-Dv108 DVD for $390.00 They had their name where they wher from. Houston Texas. then I got another email for the same merchandise with another persons name. People really do alot of crocket stuff on internet, now I am worried about My paypal account they say you should change your pastword from time to time. I think this will mess up my Payments from Paypal. I don't have alot of money in My account but I am worried. today I get a email letter from Bank of America saying alot of unusal things our happening on My account, They said You onloine banking is Blocked. so I really don't know what to do now. this has happened twice tis week-end,
they can't have my Pastword because I have never gave my pastword out to anyone. Anyway is Bank of America affliiated with paypal? I am thinking this is another scam? This is what that email said. Your online Banking is Blocked:
Because of ususual number of invalid login attempts on you account. I didn't know I had an account with Bank of America, is this another Scam. I need some answers tell me what you all think? they said we had to believe that, their might be some security problem on your account. So we decided to put an extra verificaton process to ensure you identity and your account security Please click on sign in to online banking to continue the verification process and ensure your account security It is all about your security, thank you, and visit the customer service section. That sounds like another Scam to me. what do you think, I am not go to do anything I just wanted everyones opinion. I think I am screwed up. + for everyone. Just want to tell everyone one be careful. people can get to your account all sorts of ways, how they did that I don't know.

This is all a SCAM, I get these all the time from Banks I have never associated with and the same thing with Paypal, it is an party that is trying to obtain your personal information in order to do these horrible things to you, by all means don't touch the link to them, this identifies the party that you are willing to change this information and you will only be bombarded with more emails of this type. The best thing to do is YES, change your password with Paypal, don't worry about the password it is for you consumption, no one else and it won't have any to do with your money that is currently residing there. I would check your bank account and if all is fine I would be assured that it was. I have been getting these for so long, but just figured I did cause I am an eBay seller and get alot more exposure to the online world than most. ~ Take Care ~

It is indeed a scam I have gotten several and I just reply politely and say you can't close something I don't have and paypal I sjust forwrd the whole email to them I have called and talked to them and paypal is really secure someone hit one keystroke to close to my password and paypal froze my account until I changed it and everything.Changing your passwoord will not interfere with payouts it only helps to keep people from getting into your account.people use what they call key loggers to trace every key you hit that way they can get your information but if you run adaware and a virus protection that can't get to you.Good luck and hope this helps some

Alwayas remember that if Paypal sends email the letter always start with Dear First Last name as in Dear John Smith. I always close it all out and go to the website by way of the search engine

Don't reply to any of those emails. They are trying to get hold of information and if you reply in any way, they can gather info on you. Just delete the emails or first send them to the abuse/spoof departments of Paypal or Amazon and then delete them. Just don't open any links or return their emails.
In your case, you need to talk with your bank officials and have them research this throught their fraud department. They should also give you a new account number and debit card, etc.
You need to verbally talk with them. I'd even suggest going into your branch and make sure of what is legitimate and what isn't.

Its called phishing. That eaxact thing almost happened to me. I got an email from what I thought was my credit card company stating that I needed to veriy my account or they will close it. I tried to verify it online, but the email requested that I put in my pin number, but I didn't have one. So I called my credit card company and told them my stituation and that I needed to verify my account. The the representative says no one sent me an email and to forward that email to them. That was a close call and thank God that I didn't have a pin number b/c I would have willingly gave my information. So my advice to you is that becareful online and anything asking for your personal information is fraud. Usually you know this when they ask you to verify information, especially asking for your password. Truthful companies won't ask you for that.

Keyloggers is not the only type of hacker software out there, either. I had one guy tell me about software that will run through combinations of letters at lightening speed until it "hits" on your password! Maybe he was shining me on (he was an eBay buyer with absolutely NO CLUE about what he was doing, hanging me up with weeks and weeks of sob stories and then not buying anything!). Sounded scary to me, though. We all need to be especially careful while online! Hope you get everything ironed out OK!

my advise. don't use same password for all your account. change the password often. don't accept to download any software that u don't know their background.
