Oil of clove is good to stop a toothache temporarily and I think you can also melt an aspirin in your mouth next to the tooth that is hurting but you should see a dentist right away. You shouldn't use the oil of clove or the aspirin very much because continued use will damage your gums or so I have read. Warm salty water might also temporarily help the pain. Your teeth might be infected and if so, you will have to take an antibiotic before the dentist can actually work very much on your teeth. Infected teeth should be taken care of as soon as possible. It can cause permanent heart damage if you don't get it taken care of and it continues to be infected.

Get to the dentist dear. If pain killer is not working then its worth showing. I had toothache so I had to get one of my tooth extracted and other treated for root canal. they were wisdom tooth but one was over the other, I never paids any attention to it being tilted so the problem started now. If only I had shown it when it was erupting , i still would have had my tooth.

You have my sympathy, I have been having some problems with a few teeth. I have no insurance and can't afford to go to the dentist. Good luck with your teeth.

Actually Caribe covered every aspect I was going to mention. You should definitely act on this and not let it go any further as it can lead to severe heart disease if left unattended. In the meantime teething gel like Bonjella - what you would use for babies who are teething might give you some relief. I' ve just had a problem with an achy tooth and had to have Xrays and though that showed only a possible small infection, I had the tooth refilled just in case rather than risk an abcess and perhaps losing the tooth. Good luck with it.

Oh wow!!! Last week, I had major pain in my mouth. I am not sure if it was a tooth or my jaw. Either way, it hurt so much that I had to take vicodin. I have migraine's, and have never taken vicodin for it so you can imagine how great the pain in my mouth was. I have heard you could put salt on the tooth, clove, but it never worked for me. Good luck

Man, that can happen. I remember when I found out I had to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth cut out. My whole body ached. I told the dentist, I didnt know which tooth it was. He said wisdom teeth can do that.
