If you went into a shop that sold "Native American crafts" and saw that the products were made in another country woud you still buy them and why. Would cost be a factor if they are not really Native American crafts? Would you not rather buy Native American crafts that are made by real Native Americans?

No way would I buy fakes. I would sooner pay a higher price for genuine Native American items, and would want the money to go to the artist, not line the pockets of some faceless greedy organisation.

I would never buy stuff made by non-natives. I was actually given a plastic Indian for Christmas and hit the roof over it. It was made in Taiwan or some such place. It is devaluing the real stuff, as well as taking money out of the pckets of authentic crafts people. I think it is a big no-no.

Definitely no way would I buy something that said is was Native American when it was made in another country--it infuriates me, since I am part Native American, and I do happen to make Native American based/themed crafts myself...but people seem to buy the non-native american items since the're usually cheaper--

Cost is not a factor, authenticity and integrity are. If the shop says it sells "Native American crafts" the items for sale should be made by Native Americans. These are highly skilled artisans being forced out of business by cheap fakes!
