When do you stop feeling like a Newbie ? Or when do you consider someone no longer a Newbie ? After a certain amount of responses & or discussions ? Or after a certain amount of time ? I'd really like to hear from my fellow Mylotians on this. Thanks in advance !!!

i think there has to be a certain level of accomplishment before we say that we are no longer a newbie at mylot.
first is starting your own discussion and have a topic responded by more than 10 people. second is reaching 100 posts and be able to rate most of your responses. third is getting your star. fourth is increasing your star rating. fifth is getting 3 best responses and be able to give out best response awards too. sixth is achieving your first pay out.
you are no longer a newbie when you have at least done these 6, no matter how long you have stayed in mylot, 1 day or 1 week or 1 month or 1 year. :)
i have done 5/6 so i'm still a newbie. :) i'll wait for my first pay out before i graduate from being a newbie. :)

I guess this depends on what the person thinks of themselves, being here on mylot with no one to turn to or teach us about how the way things are done here is very important. As for me, I had a hard-time in coping up in how the system works here and I learned to manage all of it all by myself. I only keep on doing my best here by the response and encouragements that I get to those who have been here for a long time, and some of them I add up to my friend's list.
I think most of the newbies here are licky because they know how to find and post questions on their discussions, because I was shy enough when I was starting here at first and that I never expected that I would be hooked up in this great forum site!;)
I think the best thing to do is, you apply all of the ways and tips of those people who have been here for a long time. Because it took me a month to learn and cope up with the system, and that I was never that much active during my 'rookie days' here!;D

I feel that it depends on your own comfortability level here at Mylot. I'm glad you learned how to use the system... :P

I don't think of anyone as a Newbie. We are myLoters whether we have 1 discussion to our name or 5000. We should pick discussions to respond to because they look interesting to us, not based on how many points the writer has accumulated.

I don't think it matters if the person is a newbie as far as responding to discussion. It was a general question.

I feel like a newbie stil. I haven't fallen into a niche so to speak and don't have to many friends I interact with either.
