I think it was the coach & the captain who are responsible for such a shameful defeat against bangladesh & srilanka. i am sure you must have gone through the India-Bangladesh match. did you felt any difference between the Indian & Bangladeshi players? it was definitely the body language. the bangladeshi team had nothing to lise. hence their approach was pretty good. they decided to attack & do their best. but in the Indian side, it was so disappoing to see that the body language was not upto the mark. The Indians had everything to lose. hence they were playing very defensively agains those minor bangladeshis, rather than attacking them. i think the coach & the captain have the duty to make the players mentally strong. but the coach experimented on the players just too much & was unable to make them mentally fit for the world cup. the captain on the other side, was himself in huge tension. he himself needed mental strength. the only player who was different from all the rest indian players was sourav ganguly. i felt that, though his performance was not outstanding, he had a pretty good confidence & was the only player eligible (along with yuvraj singh) to play in the world cup. also, virendra sehwag should have been dropped & karthik should have been taken in his place.
