which do you prefer swimming in the beach or the swimming pool? I soo love the beach but when I swim I usually get alergies so I don't enjoy that much. Also, the beach is salty and is painful to the eyes when you open them underwater. When I go to the beach I just relax, feel the wind and eat. I prefer swimming in the swimming pool because yah... opposite with the salty water.. hehe

At first, I was a bit scared swimming on the beach because I can't see what's in the bottom, but I realized that I have to overcome my fear so I decided and took my chances. I am now enjoying swimming at oceans, it's more wide and we can float easily because of the buoyancy the sea provides. There are chemicals on the pool that can be harmless to our health, we can never be sure if they do change and keep the water clean everytime.

You just have to avoid drinking water from the pool. But that's kinda hard at times.

I just soooo love the beach!!! But it also depends on the water and the view. If it's not really convincing I wouldn't dare take a swim ay the beach. I'd just sunbathe and play on the sand;) And as for the pool, well it's much easier to swim in the pool than in the beach so the pool is not bad.

thats a very interesting discussion... actually i prefer both as i love swimming. but the times of my preference changes... like when the weather is nice, i would prefer beaches for swimming....... when the weather is too hot, i prefer fresh water of pools over the salty sea water.

oh thanx! I like your response too! I love both too but most of the time I enjoy much in the pool especially if it's an infinity pool! what I hate about the beach is the water,.. slty water! sand with rocks and the seaweeds plus the jellyfish!

I prefer swimming in a pool where you just can't get stung by different sea critters, lol. I love the beach for the wind, the white sand (e.g. boracay) and that cool peaceful atmosphere while sitting before a bonfire at nights but when I want to practice my swimming skills or play with friends, the pool would still be my number 1 choice, first of all its a lot safer since you don't have to worry about sudden strong currents bringing you where you don't want to be and falling into holes beneath the water though the chlorine in some pools really does bother me sometimes I feel more secure swimming in a more controlled environment.

I prefer swimming pool because its much safer. I go the the beach only when Im invited or im with my friends. I just walk along the shorelines feel the sand under my feet. Swimming pool water is cleaner if I might add.

I definitely would prefer the beach, especially if it will be in the Caymans, Antulang, Siquijor or Boracay...=). Sparkling white sand beaches always attracts me plus you have lots of appetite when you are the beach. Probably with all that salt. Native foods such as kinilaw, saging with ginamos...argggh...looking forward to that during my next vacation...lol.

Yes, you are right, but.... yes, the water of the swimming pool is not salty, but it has a lot of chlorine and I don't like it at all. Me too I like staying on the beach and relaxing, feeling the wind and eating a delicious ice cream.... I prefer the beach, there are a lot of people, you can walk along the shore, go to the rocks and see the seagulls flying away....

I love the atmosphere in the beach.. Chlorine, that's one thing I don't like about the swimming pool. After swimming you'll smell bad.. and same with the salty water of the beach it makes your hair dry.

I love beach rather than swimming pool. I feel it is harder and tiring to swim in swimming pool than in beaches, because of the bouyancy of water. I also walking on the seashore and making sand castle which swimming pool don't have. Swimming pool water is close and have plenty of chlorine, which unfortunately my skin can absorb it, plus some wees on the pool..awww!

I love both, I lived near the coast in Texas for 20 years, and was at the beach as much as I could be. I also love the pool, the river and the lake. I'm just a water baby, sooo doesn't matter where I'm at as long as there is sun and water.

I too love to swim in swimming pool. I also love to swim in any river and for me swiming in the river is very interesting and most preferred when it comes to swimming. However swimming in beach is really painful and it really painful to our eyes.
