Both together. The egg was already inside the chicken.

I believe that the chicken came first.
Having said that, let's consider the following question:
Could it be possible that the first chicken was created from the rib of a rooster?

This is a chicken-and-egg question, and there are no easy answers. Ha, ha, ha. You really got me there. But you know what I'm thinking? It's the story about the creation...but even with it, can't still figure it out. But I guess it should be the chicken which was created first, then laid eggs, and the rest is history....there is now a whole lot of chickens in this world, which are cared for to lay more eggs...next time you see fried eggs on your table, think about the chicken and egg issue....

I get sick of chicken. To me, chicken is much more versatile and it just tastes good with almost anything! Yes I get tired of foods easily. In fact nearly all meat (but chicken-how funny) I get sick of very quickly.

Obviously the egg came first. It was a genetic mutation from say, a turkey that was scrounging in the refuse pile of cave men who were using uranium for cooking fuel. The mutation was passed into the eggs and gave birth to the next generation, giving us chickens. Not all turkeys ate from refuse piles, that's why we still have both....lol.
