I have to admit I don't think I've ever seen one except for La Dolce Vita (and I didn't enjoy it). What is La vita è bella about? What other films can you recommend I try watching? Thanks!

La dolce vita is a great italian film! I suggest: Il postino(Massimo Troisi) Silvio Muccino's films(Il mio migliore nemico) Dario Argento's films (Phenomena,La chiesa,Non ho sonno, M.D.C. Marcello Mastroianni's films , Alberto Sordi's film or those amusing of Totò!!

Compliments Cristall, you have chosen really an excellent film! I love Benigni, you should watch "Jhonny Stecchino" (The name of a boss of the mafia) and "Il piccolo Diavolo" (The little devil), they are really nice and funny. I'm Italian and so I like a lot of Italian films, one of my favourite is "Per grazia ricevuta" with Nino Manfredi, an actor that I love very much. I like Volonté, Alberto Sordi, Roberto Benigni, Gassmann, Tognazzi, etc., but my favourite Italian actor is Nino Manfredi.
