I like some of my relatives. Of course, you can't please everybody. I don't like those who have no interest either in going to school or let's say, looking for a job or even working perhaps. I think they're just wasting their time. Time is really as precious as gold for me. I just don't like to see people who are wasting theirs.

this is so weired, i only like my moms side of the family. i cant stand my dads side of the family. the reason, becuase my moms side of the family is so down to earth and easy going. they are fun loving, and always wanting to make others feel like family. even before me and my husband were married, if we got invited to someones house, it was sure to be mentioned that i bring my guy with me. they always made him feel a part of the family even though we werent married yet. as for my dads side of the family, ick. they just give us a bad name. they are all about the money. if it looks like someone isnt rich, those people are looked down upon. for them, its all about the money. yet, they have the nerve to say that me and my brothers have "no education" becuase we dont ever invite them to any of our special events. i didnt invite them to my wedding, and they were very offended. not that i cared, but boy did i hear it from my dad (of course my dad was there). i tried to explain to him that i wanted my wedding to be happy and memorable, i didnt want to hear any negative comments becuase i didnt have this huge elaborate and expensive wedding. we did what was in our budget, and i love the way it came out. they would have been mumbling under their breath about the hall not being fancy, or the food being just so so. i am going to let my children meet my dads side of the family, but i am not expecting them to be close. they are not very warm or affectionate either. i know they are going to love visiting my moms side of the family though, i know i do!

I love my relatives. To me, family is everything and that will never change. I just spent the entire day with my Aunt and Uncle, cousins and parents. I do as many things as I can with my family. Although, they may not always be the nicest people to be around, I know they love me and whenever I need them, they are there for me! The only time I get upset is when one of my cousins will make a comment about some choice I made with my life, when they are 27 year olds living at home with no full time job and never planning on leaving. That's when I get upset, but I'll defend myself and talk crap right back at them! :)

Some of them I think are wonderful. Others I don't like at all as they've never seemed to have any interest in me and at gatherings when I try to make conversation seem uninterested and distainful - like they have some idea of me that they look down on. It's upsetting and disconcerting, but I don't have to see them that often so I try not to let it bother me. I don't do badly for myself, I have my degree and am studying for my masters and live with my partner whom I love very much, so I don't need their approval.

I love my relatives! Even the ones that are very unique and special. I believe that family is a gift. Even when you are through unwrapping them. You might have to tear off some papers before you actually get to the gift that makes you happy! My family comes from all walk of life and even when they have there disagreements. We always come together and support each other when needed. They always welcomed my friends even when they didn't know them and treated them like family. And that's why I love them.
