LTO is very corrupt, you cannot get driver's license without red tape. If you don't pay under the table you have to start from the beginning where no one entertain you. The examination for student's license is very hard to read.

I honestly don't know much about it. What are the major points of corruption? I live in Ireland which had an extreme phase of corruption, which I call the 'brown envelope' era where there were lots of bribes being issued and recieved. We have had a whole series of 'tribunals' to sort out the guilty, but very little comes of it. I can think of the Marcos regime, but what is going on in your country now?

This is not only an honest opinion. It is a fact that the Philippines is a corrupt country. I am a Filipino and I live in the Philippines and I'm sad that this is what is happening in our country.

Sad to say but my answer is also "YES". I really see our country getting worse in terms of corruption. Although I could see some effort the government is putting to stop this but then i guess those corrupt people just keep on getting ahead when things are implemented to curb the practice.

there's a difference between being a "corrupt" country and a "corrupted" one. ours is never a corrupt one and never will be but it has surely been corrupted since time immemorial. we both have corrupt and corrupted civic "leaders",both of whom draw the others toward a vicious system of corruption in the country. the philippines is and was never a corrupt country. just as when foreign colonial devils belittled our civilization, which they thought to be uncivilized and our race, whom are said to be incapable of governing the land, ours is never a corrupt one. we are corrupted just as our place is.

the people in the government are corrupt. but not the entire filipino people ... the government is not the philippines.. they are just part of it.
