This is something that is important 2 everyone..... how do you start a conversation with a person who you arent related to or who isnt ur friend? does it always begin with "how are u doin? " or "hows life?" ? my friends and i were just talking about it sometime ago...and these lines seemed really over rated and clich`ed... i want to know, if there is really any topic u cud get started on, that would lead to a funny, cheerful conversation with just about anyone!

It's really hard to make a conversation with a person that you really don't know but I read a comics with lines that are great in starting a conversation. Here's how it goes.
Man1: Hi! May I ask you a question? How much does the penguin weighs?
Man2: No idea.
Man1: Just enough to break the ice.
So what do you think? After that maybe you can introduce yourself to each other.

I usually begin with a smile or a nod as a greeting and if there's a positive response then I may say how are you, etc. and the conversation rolls on. It depends upon the obtaining circumstances and the person himself/herself.

As i have observed in our office... usually people talks about movies, tv series, comics and the nice project outputs like graphics, websites, animationsand etc. but mostly graphics. They even talk about sports they're into and start inviting others to join them play their sports.
