yes my lover is my best friend. Before we fell in love we first become friends and its by this friendship we got know each other better and we realized we were meant for each other.i would say in my case she is my best friend come my sweet heart.

My sweetie is my best friend. We were best friends before he became my sweetie. We're evidence that "just friends" becoming "more than friends" really can work out sometimes.
