I dont spend much time at all on the phone. I enjoy chatting on the internet more, and most of my friends do as well. The phone gets on my nerves. and its more expensive to! LOL!

No. Most of the time I chat through the internet. I can tell that in a day I spend like... well, perhaps about 90 minutes on phone with my boyfriend and sometimes family or college friends. But of course, not 90 minutes in one-shot.
Anyway, I prefer to chat on the internet or sms-ing over phone calls. Especially to those I don't really know very well. It just feels more comfortable.

While I don't spend most of my day talking on the phone, I used to chat on the phone a lot with my ex-girlfriend, and that too, late in the night! I would call her up sometime at midnight, and we would often be on the phone till four or later! We once hung up only after we heard the first chirps of birds! We never spoke about anything in particular, it would just be general topics. We would find some topic and go on discussing that. She was quite intellectual and I enjoyed discussing things with her. I used to discuss poetry, movies, art, novels, blogs and people. Those were definitely the fun days. I still speak to her, but not halfway as often or for as long. Anyway, I 'm in a different city and it would cause me to go bankrupt in no time if I had to speak to her for such long hours on the phone, long-distance!

phones are very important in our communications. almost everybody has a phone in their homes.
but when we are using them, how long should we talk on the phone? i guess, it really depends. for those who have nothing to do except chit-chatting, they can have it unlimited if they want to that is if they can afford to pay the bills. for others who use the phone for emergency calls, then they have it for a second few seconds or less than a minute. others use the phone normally, i mean ordinarily, about few minutes talking about personal things. to most of the overseas contract workers (ofw's), using the phone and talking to their loved ones longer makes them happy. of course, you know the reasons why. there are even phone addicts who use the line hours and hours just to satisfy their "personal" needs. so far, these are the usual ways i can think of how long ones uses the phone.

Well sometimes when I'm on the phone it's work related, the rest of the time other than that of course is just chatting with friends or family. I would say in a week I probably spend about a total of 5 hours on the phone related to my work. Then I'd say about another 5 to 10 hours of personal phone time with friends and family.

i hate phones. Unfortunatly they are a nessesity today. With the exception of night time conversations with a long distance girlfriend north of the border, my calls are short. I spend an average of about 90 seconds on a call. Enough to get the info i need or convey what i need to. We just got cell service in the area and i still have no plans to get one. When i travel i take my daughters and only after she insisted (did come inhandy one time). I leave home to get away from my phone and i sure as heck dont want one that follows me. I see it all the time, cell-addicts. You see em in walmart, talking to their partner who is a couple isles away. walking down main st yapping away, crossing traffic oblivious to their surroundings. DRIVING. THIS is a HUGE pet peave of mine, ill be in montreal traffic, have someone pull an incredibly stupid move almoist causing an accident and more often then not, they are yapping away of a cell phone.

I never used to talk on the phone AT ALL. I had a huge anxiety issue that made it impossible for me to answer the phone. If I needed to make a call, ex. to the doctors, it would take all day for me to be able to make this phone call. I would procrastinate and then it would have to be very quiet when I made the phone call.
Now through continued work at it I am now unable to stop talking on the phone! LOL!
My boyfriend lives just under 300 miles away from me and we talk on the phone every night before bed. I also try to call him before I go to work everyday. Every month my average is around 3000 minutes in long distance calls! It is a good thing that I have an unlimited calling plan!
