Any tips for devil may cry 3??????

I'm stuck I have been trying to play DMC3 and I can't for the life of me get past the 3 headed dog thing. I went on line for tips but the one I got didn't work. I shot him, cut him, and kicked him, he just won't die. Any tips, tricks, or codes would be helpful by a great deal. Thanks either way.

welll... you'll have to keep dodging the dogs attacks... by moving tside to side... i suggest slashing it on the leg first... it will keep attackin... avoid its attacks... and you will surely knock it down for a moment... then go allout for the head... with the sword... it does alot of damage.... this should be the basic attack plan for you....
