What if you and your best friend went out drinking on night, and she/he got so drunk that she/he let it slip out that they thought your husband/wife was hot and said that if you all weren't friends that they would make a pass at him/her even though they was married. What would you say or do? Would you take her/him seriously since she/he was plastered?

The thing is that she/he is "lusting" in their heart for that person and you had better believe they mean it. Don't be a fool.

Girl, you know I love ONLY my man!!! I don't think I could hang out with someone that told me that she would get with my man if we weren't friends because I would constantly be on the lookout with her around and it would just be too stressful. And no, I am not talking about you or anyone else that we know; it's all fiction!

well i have been there,,,and he and i were flattered she thought so..but the fact she said makinthe pass if we werent married would bug me abit..that just kinda weird..and that would make me feel kinda ..well a bit full of mistrust..no friend says that drunk or not..so when she sobered up i would tell her what she said..well remind her..and then tell her how much that bothered me..cause that just wasnt right..

Well if my bestfriend said something like that then I would be keeping a close eye on that friend from now on. It sounds like the person would go after them no matter if it hurt a friendship. If this is happening to you then I advise definitly keeping that girl away from your husband. Better to be safe then sorry if you ask me.

Oh, no this has not happened to me. For one, I don't drink and the second point is my best friend has her own husband that she loves.
No, I just wrote this as a "What if" serenio to see what other people would do or how they would feel about it.

You shouldn't be bothered. People spill out their fantasies when drunk, but rarely act on it. If I'd slept with everyone I thought was hot when I was drinking, there would be a good sized town filled with my offspring by now! :-)

Oh yes take it seriously. Most people that are intoxicated cannot help but tell the truth. I wouldn't do anything directly but I would let her know I am aware of her thoughts by saying things such as geez my hubby looks hot tonight when she is out with you. And then never leave them alone. Keep her on a short leash and not the hubby cuz it is not his fault he is hot...lol...Always remember that he picked you. So no worries....

Considering that he/she was drunk, I don't think I would take it too seriously. But I would definitely be keeping an eye on him/her from then on. My ex hubby used to say that if you wanted to know the truth from someone, that when they were drunk was the best time to find out. Hence, the reason I would keep an eye out, 'just in case'.

I probably would just shrugged the comment off BUT will not forget about it. I will be on my guard from that moment on. If you are drunk, your inhibitions are totally gone and you say whatever your subsconcious wanted to say. There is truth on it. Then if she had sobered up, I will remind her in a jokingly manner what she blurted out.

Well, to be honest, I'd be flattered, but it would bother me....
It would bother me that a very good friend would even consider making a "pass" at a married man to begin with...but I'm pretty conservative in my views.

I wouldn't worry about that too much. She was drunk and it should be a compliment that they find your spouse attractive. That means you have a good looking man! Not to mention she said "if you weren't married she would make a pass", that means she has respect for your relationship. I would feel better that I knew, than if she was sneaky about it and said nothing drunk or not!
