Frustrated!!!

My father is an extremely racist and homophobic person. We had to agree with him when we were growing up just to keep peace in the family.
Now that I am on my own I can make my own decisions and am nothing like my father. I have many friends who are gay and my boyfriend is native (which my father would HATE).
When my dad finds out about our friends he makes condisending remarks about them. It has reached the point where I don't tell him about my friends or boyfriend because I am tired of listening to him put people down.
Why do people have such a problem with racism and homosexuality?

I think the same way as you. When I was younger I had to agree with those people, but now I have my own opinion and I fell sorry for those who think in a racist and homophobic way.

just tell him you are gay and your new partner is black
important to tell both at the same time
then he has a heart attack and you inherit some money
