Hey everyone, what are all your thoughts on Windows Vista?
In my opinion, I don't see an OS thats life changing, its an improvement visually but what else. Is anyone using Vista and what version are you using?
Let me know your thoughts and improvements that could be made with this new OS

cool, do you use the aero theme then, is it available on the home edition?
I've got the ultimate edition, not sure what the different is between the home edition and ultimate though. But yeah there isn't a huge different
Its deffinately more pleasing to the eye in my opinion though but thats it.

I just heard this earlier on the evening news here..seems there are like 70 million copies are already sold, and they expect at least another 60 or more..and 90 million people will buy a laptop...but in regards to the vista itself, i havent installed it. Stickin with what i have for now...

I agree, stick to XP. You wont see major benefits from Vista over XP. In the future I expect Vista will be the standard OS but for now stay clear.
I have Vista I must admit but my works gave me a free copy. However on my laptop I have XP and I don't notice any difference between the 2, I can some up the most obvious improvements in a paragraph displayed below
READYBOOST, AERO, SECURITY
There isn't really alot more I can think of,stick with XP. However I would love to hear other peoples opinions

Woow WIndows Vista.. what a hot subject i can say. I have talked a lot in my area with many of my friends and all of them had only positive thoughts about it. I can say that i was blow off by this new windows system. Some things certainly lack to it but this new look which Microsoft has incorporated in it certainly do the money you would give for it. I have waited this new system for 2 weeks and here i am using it. It was pretty hard for me to buy it because in my area it can't be found. So i had to ask a friend from another part of my country to order me. I am so happy using it and all i have are only words of gratitdue. I post here a short description about VISTA.
Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework out of the box. The .Net Framework makes it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.
