So, the Season's over. What do YOU think?

Is there anyone out there that thinks the Final Five really are Tigh, Tyrol, Anders, the president's secretary and STARBUCK? Please.
What do you think? Are they really sleeper cylons, or (as I believe and have posted elsewhere) are they humans mindfrakked into thinking they are cylons (a la The Manchurian Candidate)?Chief Tyrol has a baby with Cally. So either another human cylon hybrid has occured, or they are both human. Tigh was tortured, and Starbuck was royally frakked with during the New Caprica occupation. I'm pretty sure the other three also spent time with the cyclons.
Also - take a look at the lyrics to "All Along the Watchtower" by Jimi Hendrix. There a few lines that could have some meaning in the plot.

I don't know if this really is the Final Five but considering the visions that 6 is having they really well could be the Final Five. It would be quite the turn of events to find that Tigh after all that has happened to him is a Cylon. However, at the same time, remember that the Cylon portrayed by Lucy Lawless saw the five and referred to one of them as sir, which is sometimes and most usually applied to an older gentleman, such as Tigh.
The next season is definitely going to be interesting. I just wish we didn't have to wait until 2008 to see what the next season holds.

I don't believe Tigh and Starbuck are cylons. There's too much history between them and the Adamas. I don't think any of the mentioned characters are cylons. I think, like npkeith, that they were experimented on during their time on New Caprica.
"There are many here among us, who feel that life is but a joke." - Bob Dylan
This could be a key line from the song "All Along the Watchtower," but I don't know where to begin as far as comparing and contrasting characters in association with that line. Any thoughts from others?

I agree, there is a lot of history, especially with Tigh. He said he's been in the service 40 years. That means that he was around almost as far back as the last cylon wars. So, the cylons would have had to be making human-like cylons early.

I didn't see the last episode, and I guess they didn't show the final five after all the teasing they had done.
Your list would explain why they have really focusing on those characters lately. I think the president's secretary is a good bet.

Now, I have seen the episode, so I'm going to comment on them. Those five were all on the planet and were all having certain types of problems. I think the whole music thing was due to some kind of implant or other device or illness that had been used against them. But, I wonder if they are cylons, or led to believe that they are cylons.
Starbuck had an ovary taken from her and they were going to put her in one of those farms they were using to create babies. Tyrol had a child, so you're right about the human-cylon hybrid (if he was a cylon, that is), Tigh was tortured, etc. So, I wonder. I just hate that they make us wait almost a year to continue the story.

I was very disappointed with the season finale. I really felt that they continued with their tradition of baiting us just enough to keep us hooked without really revealing anything at all. Do I believe those are the final five? Absolutely not! Tigh has been working with Adama how many years? Like forty... That would make him an original human model, which would be interesting, but seriously... Anders AND Starbuck? Too coincidentally bizarre there, and as you mentioned that would mean Tyrol and Cally's baby is another hybrid. IT could be Adam and Even of the new generation as many have suggested, but I doubt the producers even know where they are going from here. The only one I could see in any strategic position would be the president's aid, but that's about it. I was interested in the little cult of Baltar that seems to have developed. Pity they didn't show a bit more on that.

I was SOO bummed when the episode ended and the screen came up with "Stay tuned in 2008!"
I really want to know what happened with Starbucks ovary that the cylons removed on Caprica. Or did they really take it? Or did they implant something??
I dont think that the characters that were outed as cylons really are. Remember when Galactica was at the planet with the shrine, and Six saw the final 5? She said "They're so beautiful" I dont think that applies to Tigh! :)
I have questions about Baltars lawyer though, I think there is more to him that we havent discovered yet.

My wife can attest that I too screamed "2008! you've GOT to be kidding me!"
I have heard from the SciFi wire that there is a 2 hour "special event" planned for late this year, that will also be released on DVD, then production for a March 2008 series start.

Well it's really kind of a hanging story and sadly though I heard that the nest season for battlestar will be in 2008 so it's really far. But I think they are not but also there are possibilities and also starbucks maybe is a cylon too because remember last time that her ship was destroyed so maybe she is a cylon. But will know on the next season.

I just saw the last three episodes last night and couldn't believe it! You could see what was coming with the way there were hearing the music, but I'm still not sure it means they are Cylons.
Tyrol had some mystical connection to something already when he found the Eye of Jupiter, so maybe something else drew them together.
If they are the final 5, with Baltar being number 6, that would be a neat package. I hope it won't be as obvious as that. Where will they go beyond one more season if all those questions get wrapped up that quickly?

Can you guys tell me, where there 20 episodes in this season? I'm not able to get my hands on 18 or 19, let alone 20.

No - they are not the Final Five. Tyrol fought the Cylons when there were no skin jobs. But the kind of vulcan mindgrip that Caprica 6 has on Baltar seems to work for more and more humans the closer they come to Earth.
"All Along the Watchtower" surely has an apocalyptical topic - I think Cylons and humans aren't that different at all.
The Final Five and the Gods may be the same - and maybe Cylons and humans too.
