Which do you prefer? Designer labels like Gloria Vanderbilt or discount brand lines of clothing? I have found some very nice "discount label" clothing. On the other hand, there's just something about those GV jeans! LOL I think, definitely I prefer designer labels...now to get that "designer" piggy bank. LOL Thanks for responding.

I trust in designer labels more than discount labels. I think it's designer labels which have great quality of cloth and last for longer than in comparison of discount labels. I have a jeans from "Lee" which I bought some 7 years ago for 4000 rs. INR =100 $ and is costly in comparison to clothing available in local stores but the jeans is not ready to get old . I mean it never appears that jeans is 7 years old. This is benefit for buying designer label.

I can see your point. My mother got this "great deal" once, on a pair of my jeans. I wore them while playing flag football. That's where you have a hanky in your back pocket-they pull the hanky out of your back pocket to ground the ball. Well, the guy that grabbed for the hanky, grabbed my pocket too. The whole back of my pants came off in his hands. LOL He was very kind and let me wear his sweater home. Come to think of it, I guess they were a pretty good deal-I got a date with the guy. LOL Thanks for responding.

Very Expensive Shoe! - A very expensive Louboutin shoe
I do sometimes buy clothes from cheaper shops but to be honest you really get what you pay for I think and they tend not to last well. Shoes and bags are different - I hate cheap shoes and bags! You can always tell I think. With accessories I buy the best that I can afford but with clothes I'm prepared to economise sometimes - although my bank manager would probably say not often enough!!

Hi! If I could afford it, I would only wear designer clothes! :-) I'm like you, I've found some very nice non-designer clothes, but I would prefer to have the better quality and fit. Recently I had the chance to shop at a Ross store - I just absolutely loved it! I got a leather Tommy Hilfiger purse for $8.99! I couldn't believe it! A lot of the clothes were made by designers I recognized and were less expensive than going to a major discount chain store (if you know which one I'm referring to LOL). I just love stores like Ross and Marshalls. Your budget will stretch a whole lot further! Happy Shopping! :-)
