Recently, my son who lives in another state came to visit, he requested that I buy a pork loin and a marinade made called "Jack Daniels Marinade". It even comes with its own bag to marinade in(although a bowl covered in aluminum foil works well, too). We trimmed the fat, and sliced it into chops and marinaded it for approximately 3 hours. He grilled in and it was the best grilled meat I had ever eaten. It had a wonderful flavor and was so tender. I would highly recommend this product!
P.S. This brand also makes a good BBQ sauce!

Perhaps it is a good idea for me to try this. However, this jack daniels marinade is not available in our local supermarket. Can you more or less tell its composition?

Sorry, I did not think about availability. It has a tomatoe base with molasses, brown sugar, onion, pepper, garlic, a touch of Jack Daniels-which is a whiskey(not sure if you have that brand there-but I assume any whiskey would work), Closing the packaging that the meat marinades in seems to be important for sealing in the flavor. Also, after talking to my husband-who spent years overseas in the military-says that goat BBQ'd is also excellent!

It's pork and chicken for me. I love the taste of barbecue. We usually do chicken and pork. I know that beef tastes much better but it is quite hard to find them tender enough for the purpose. If I can get hold of beef tenderloin at a time when barbecue is the desire of the moment, then I will consider doing one again. The trouble with beef tenderloin is that these are among the best selling commodities around.

i tried beef barbecue once. and gosh... i did not find it delicious and tasty. so, i'd choose pork over beef. barbecue beef is like eating rubber. difficult to chew!.. anne

I like it all!! Especially the Brazilian barbecue. If You have the opportunity to eat some authentic Brazilian barbecue you will love it!
And the make some side dish called farofa that is excellent with this type of food.

Can you tell us more about Brazilian barbeque? Is it sweet or hot? do you put sauce on it or cook it in sauce? or do you smoke it? what kind of meat is used? And what is farofa? Thank you for adding greatly to this discussion. I hope you will continue the conversation with additional postings.

i always love pork barbecue! it's the most delicious among all others. i also love chicken barbecue and fish barbecue. but among them, i'll still go for pork barbecue. it's more delicious and very very tasty compared to the other two.
when it comes to sauce, i love it dipped in soysauce with a little amount of vinger in it. yummy!... anne

Ohhh, summer is coming and I LOVE barbeque! My favorite barbeque is pork. I like the slow cooked pork that is then hand chopped/pulled. One thing I hate is when the barbeque sauce is sweet! I prefer hickory smoked and slightly spicy!

I like bbq at an outdoor garden, surrounded by trees and flowers then they offer proffessional barbeques,
beef, brisket,pork,ribs, wings, chicken, shrimp, and other kind of meat you can imagin. As for sauce, I like marinade, hot sauce like chilli paste, mustard with little condiment.

My favorite barbequed food or should I say those which are grilled are seafood. I love large squids, prawns and fishes and liked them dipped in melted butter with a dash of lemon. I also loved barbequed steak, which is well done. Any barbeque sauce will do as long as the steak is tender.

I love bbq sauce but haven't had the opportunity to decide which sauce is my favorite. It takes me forever to go through a bottle myself. I think I have the Jack Daniel's bbq sauce in my fridge right now.
I love bbq sauce on a cheeseburger with cheddar cheese and onions!!! It's 6:10 in the morning and now I want a burger...lol.
