Does your cat "talk" as he/she plays?

Tonight, my Waffles cat was chasing her toy balls around and meowed as she played. I thought it was very cute. Eventually, she became tired of it all and hopped back on my bed to sleep.
Some cats are quite vocal as they play, others, like my Columbus cat, aren't. Which group is your cat in?

I have several cats, and they make gutteral sounds when they play. They also "talk" to me when I talk to them. BTW, what is a Columbus cat?
I have a Turkish Angora. She is the most playful and loves to climb. She'll jump from the top of the banister onto a chair in the parlor. Then she'll jump from one chair to another from room to room, never hitting the floor. She's so light-boned and delicate, so you never hear her land. She has an obsession with water as well. Ah, cats! Guess that's why the kids call me the Crazy Cat Lady. :giggle:

My cat, Oreo, has a soft fuzzy round ball that she thinks is her baby, I think. As she carries it around with her in her mouth she is meowing to it all the time while still carrying it.
Muffin, makes all kinds of gutteral sounds, for lace of a better way of describing it while she runs around in her "crazies". She also will answer me if I call her name with that same sound, like, yeah, I heard you but I'm going to do what I want to do.
Cheetah likes me to stand by her and feed her dry food by hand, (she seems to have arthritis and can't stand for a long period of time. When she wants the hard food she will come get me and softly meow. If I don't come right away her meows become more insistent and much louder and no breaks in between.
Magay, just basically meows when she wants treats.
Silver, the only boy, will make what sounds like a "woof" whenever Muffin or Oreo want to play with him. He doesn't really want to have anything to do with them. He sounds more like a dog than a cat.

My cat does. Sometimes, when she couldn't catch the thing she's playing with. Like, if the ball she's playing with keeps on rolling and won't stop as she pleased for her to catch it, she would make a noise, as if to tell the ball, "Stop! I said stop goddamit!". :P

Moomin and I can have some very long and involved conversations sometimes. She will happily "chat" for hours with me, usually when she wants her food, or some fuss, or just my company.

That's so cute! My cat sometimes meows when she is playing too. She loves to look out the window at the animals outside, and she'll watch the birds or squirrels and make these weird little noises. It sounds like she's trying to do a bird call or something! It's so cute! :)

I have a friend that used to sit down and talk to her cat and the cat would meow back as if answering her, I used to sit back and watch them sitting there having a long conversation with each other, it looked so funny because the cat would wait til she finished theen it would start....very funny.

Ronnie likes the craft loops like the make pot holders out of these days. She will happily play with them and talk to them. Now, she looks like a siamese, but mostly, because she's semi-feral, is pretty quiet, except to talk to her craft loops. She's really the only cat I've got that will talk to her toys.
