Do you ever look for old classmates on the net?

I always get these offers to sign up for classmates, etc and look for old friends and old relationships on the net. They all want to charge you money for anything other than posting your information. Then I see all these sites where you can go to look up information on someone. It has everything, even what they owe on their house!! Have you ever paid to sign up for a classmates program, or is there a better site to go to? I have some friends that I would like to look up. Thanks for the help.

I've never paid for a site to find old classmates or friends. I'm a member of MySpace and I've found almost everyone that I've wanted to find there. I managed to find my old college roommate that I lost contact with when I moved back home over six years ago. I've also found an old neighbor that was a childhood friend who I lost contact with over ten years ago.

Hey have you tried orkut??Its a great site where I found lots of my old classmates even a friend whom i lost touch 20 yrs ago!They don't charge any money.but you have to get an invite from someone to become a member though.try it if you can..it really works!

I have also went to that website to try and look up old classmates to see how and what they are doing now. I could also put in my information but to look at theirs, they wanted me to pay a fee. I didn't want to have to pay a fee to do that. I have looked for other sites to find out that information but it was unsuccessful. I'm not sure if there is any free sites online to look up information on people we used to go to school with. I would also like to look a couple of people up and see even if they are still living. I hope someone can let you know something because I would also like to know that too.

I've never looked up old classmates, but I confess I did look up an old boyfriend once. I stopped at the point where they wanted money, so I never found out much!

Honestly the place where I have found the most classmates is myspace. I joined classmates a long time ago when it was actually free. I don't think I've looked at it since then. I'm not going to pay money to look at people I never really cared for anyways lol. But seriously myspace is a great free way to look up old classmates.

Well i havent signed up with any site like this for finding my old class mates i prefer forums like this one and orkut,hi5 and many more to find mine and i have found few via these forums aswell.So i guess my advice to you is not to signup for any site that requires you to pay is it only in their interest,what if your friend never registered with that site how'll they find the person???
Its much better to try free forums to find your lost classmates.
