Do you think newborns should sleep in their own cot or with their parents?

Safety issues aside, which do you think would do better for the child's development? How were you raised? Will babies who have slept with their parents grow up into better adults?

Newborn babies should sleep with their parents and not in their own cot right away.
Because it is not advisable for parents to put their newborn baby to a crib alone coz it might causes some problems.
Its better if they let their baby with them on their bed so that they can guide it and attend for all the needs of the baby whenever their baby needs to.

Well I believe to grow up some what normal kids definitley should sleep on their own. If you start letting a child do it from time to time they get use to it then when they are say 8-12 they will always want to sleep with you. I also believe a child sleeping on their own will also not be as scared of the dark as they might be after sleeping with someone them put all alone in a dark room.
