#30 & #40 Birthday Surprises

Just curious, how many of you would feel disappointed if someone did'nt throw you a big surprise party on your 30th or 40th birthday? I had a friend from work whose wife invited everyone he knows to a surprise 40th for him. I thought to myself, mmm... would I really care if I got a party or not for my 40th? It is after all just another year, and not to poo poo it or anything but would I really want to see people I work with at my birthday party? Am I wrong for thinking this way?
