How many kids do you plan to have?

I've always wanted to have 1 child mainly because being in a family of four we experience a lot of financial problems and up to this time, we still do. Also, I've seen people with only one child that their life is better financially. When I talk about planning to have ONLY one child, my siblings and my dad would get mad at me, for whatever reasons they may have.
Am I wrong for thinking about having ONLY one child or am I just being practical?

there is nothing wrong with having only one child if you feel that you can only provide for one and you will be a better parent to a single kid. it is more practical, yes, and it is also more appropriate to your standards. if you would like to have one, no one can force you to have more. just explain your side and i know that they'll understand it.
for me, i wanted to have 2. this is because i wanted my kids to experience having a sibling who they can turn to whenever they need someone who can understand them most. i had wonderful and supportive siblings, which makes me want my kids to experience it too. i also think that the more, the merrier our family would be. but at this point, i think i can only provide well for 2 kids.
