Diabetic are irritated?

I don't want to believe that the reason why some people who have diabetes are always irritated is because of their illness. My dad has always been irritated and it annoys me. I just don't get it because my grandmother who has diabetes doesn't look so irritated at all. And then my grand aunt who has diabetes and have undergone chemotheraphy before isn't irritated at all. Do you believe in this?

I myself do not have diabetes, but have worked with several people who are and a change in blood sugar will cause them to become irritated , most of the people who did become irritated were suffering from to low count, and of course a too high count causes them to be almost drunk like in behavior. Your Gran an Aunt probably have their blood sugar well under control. It seems that people who have a hard time accepting their disease become irritable much more easily. Now this being said I am not an authority, these are just things I have observed, and not a medical opinion.

Uncontrolled diabetes can lead to fluationsin blood sugar levels which can affect the brain. High or low blood sugar levls can lead to lethargy or anger. its a factof life. I'm not diabetic, but when my blood sugar gets too low, and I haven't eaten for hours, I tend to blow up as well. Your father probably needs to keep better check on his sugar levels and his mood swingw will level out.
