Negative people...

Do you want to be with people who are pessimistic or would you rather be alone?
I know someone who is so negative. I myself experienced it and the feeling was not that good. Through the years I've managed to stand up and be positive about everything.
Being negative affects people's lives and it's not a good thing.
What advise would be best to give that person if he doesn't want to listen at all?

I know what a drain negative people can be on the spirit. There are people at work I go out of my way to avoid because they are so negative. I am not sure if you can give advice to someone who doesn't want to listen. However, you don't have to listen to them being negative. You can choose to walk away instead of listening to them. If it's the sort of situation where you cannot walk away, like you have to work with that person, I'd try to minimize contact with them. I know I'd rather be by myself than with a really negative person.
