I tend to take a lot of photos of flowers, but then I don't actually know their names. It would be nice to know what we're taking pictures of huh? Maybe those that know flowers can tell the photographers what they've got. I'll start with posting an unknown flower.

This is under the Mums family of flowers or Chrysanthemums. http://www.backyardnature.net/fl_mum.htm

That does look like it. Are daisies related too by any chance? To the mum family?

It is a small variety of sunflower. Not all sunflowers are large, most are actually normal sized, but their stalks are tall.

This one didn't have a tall stalk at all. It was probably only 6 inches tall.

I too, like bright colourful flowers. However, most of the time, I don't know their names. Well, I think a well compose picture should have a name for the object .... so I called them 'Beautiful Blooms'!

Possible Poppy - Orange flower, possibly a poppy
Yeah, but after awhile you'd get a lot of photos with very similar names without the actual flower types.;) I think this one here might be a poppy.

that's a very pretty flower, but I have no idea what it is. I love flower pictures, but unfortunately about the only flowers I know are carnations. lol I think the thing to do if you are really into flower pictures would be to purchase a book, one with an easy reference that you could just flip through real quick.

Thanks. I actually do have a bunch of flower books, but it's so hard to tell which kind of flower matches what since so many look similar. Sometimes I know them, sometimes I don't.
