I liked Memnoch the Devil the most. It was for me, her best work ever. It gave me chills reading it.

I love all of the Anne Rice books in the Vampire and witch series. My all time favourite was the Mayfair Witches? But I also like Memnoch, like you did. They are all good!
I felt kind of sad when she abandoned this kind of writing recently to write religious stuff? I hope one day she will expand on the mayfair book! (And make a movie about that!)

I have read all of Anne Rice's books except for the 'Beauty' series and 'Christ the Lord'. I found that not one book stood out, but all together they were the best read I have ever had. The book 'Interview with A Vampire' was many times better than the movie. I found that after 'Interview...', all the books followed one another. Again, a great read.
I found 'Blackwood Farm' outstanding!

I've never read her work. What's her genre, and what are the books about?

I read her early works. Not many of her newer stuff. My favorite is the Witching Hour. Also like her first three or four books on Lestat.
