I heard people can faint from dehydration because of the summer heat. What can i do to prevent it?
Dehydration is the deficiency of water in the body. Some faint from dehydration because of the loss of minerals found in the bloodstream-sodium,potassium and calcium-collectively known as electrolytes.Electrolyte loss prevents water from nourishing the cells and moving to the bloodstream. As a result, water lost from the bloodstream isn't as easily replenished. This causes blood pressure to fall, which explains the light-headedness dehydrated people feel.Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day (roughly one liter),more during the hot months or when you're exercising.Don't wait till you're thirsty.keep a one-liter water bottle handy. It should be empty at the end of each day.Flavored sports drinks can also help relieve mild dehydration.

Yes it is true.I think the best way to prevent from dehydration is to drink 8 to 10 glasses of water everyday. There are also lot of refreshments available on the markets with the wide variety of choices. These would definitely prevent us from dehydration.

That's why it is always best to drink plenty of water in a day! ;)

Great advice. Dehydration is more common than one might think and can actually be really dangerous. According to what I have read, you should aim for 8-10 10 oz glasses of water per day. You should drink more when you are exercising or spending a lot of time in the hot sun. Juices that are low in sugar and sodium, as well as many fruits and veggetables are also a good source of hydration. It can be difficult at first if you are not used to drinking much water at all, but if you give it a few days, drinking 8-10 glasses a day will become a habit. You will probably find that you feel much better in general. Our bodies need water to function properly and also to properly digest and burn fats, so getting plenty of water can help you lose weight.
