I have a new PCI network adapter in my computer. The computer does not detect the NIC, and NIC lights are blinking; when I install my card to other PCs, it works. Can you help me what to do??.
I graduated computer science and communication faculty of a university; also I have 9 years experience. I solved thousands of computer and communication problems until I became familiar in my area. But I could not solve this simple problem.

I'm guessing a driver issue, as the other responder suggested. All the lights on the back of the NIC mean is that it is receiving power from the computer. Another possibility, however much less likely, is that the PCI slot you are using in the "trouble" PC is bad. Is another PCI slot available for you to try? Also, what OS is on the "trouble" machine, as well as on one of the machines that it works with?

Well if the lights are blinking then it must have been recognised by the computer. Did you check in the device manager if this card is installed and if it is if , whether its working fine.Check if the correct drivers are installed
If it doesnt get recongised i guess your motherboard doesnt support that card. Try another card with a different brand
