how bad is epilepsy

5 years ago , doc said that i have an epilepsy. he said that i dont have to worry but i should stop playing video games and watching tv.
Is epilepsy not that bad but i have also heard that people with tumur also have epilepsy so i'm freakin out.
Can anybody tell me how bad is it?
